Heavy Duty Crane Hook Pulley Assembly For Wire Rope Lifting
Heavy Duty Crane Hook Pulley Assembly for Wire Rope Lifting This crane hook pulley assembly is built for wire rope lifting equipment where load connection, rope guidance, and compact installation are required in one unit. It is suitable for cranes, hoists, lifting trolleys, and replacement...
- Product Introduction
Port Crane Bottom Block with Integrated Hook and Sheave System
Developed for cargo terminals, shipyards and coastal material-handling facilities, this lower lifting unit brings the load hook, rope wheels and supporting structure into a compact assembly. It can be engineered for new port machinery or used to replace an obsolete block whose original model is no longer available.
Instead of supplying a general-purpose pulley block, ZZIC configures the unit around the crane's actual reeving geometry, available headroom and environmental exposure. Existing drawings, measured components and crane operating data can all be used as the engineering reference.
Suitable for retrofit work: the external envelope, connection points and rope path can be adapted to existing equipment, helping reduce structural changes during installation.
Service Profile
| Equipment Position | Lower block in the crane hoisting arrangement |
| Primary Duty | Cargo loading, equipment handling and industrial heavy lifting |
| Typical Locations | Ports, bulk terminals, shipyards, docks and coastal plants |
| Project Type | New crane production, modernization or replacement of an existing unit |
| Design Input | Original drawing, physical sample, field measurements or crane data sheet |
Configuration Matrix
The assembly is not limited to one fixed layout. Its major components can be adjusted to suit the lifting duty, rope lead direction and maintenance practices of the customer.
| Design Area | Selectable Features | Engineering Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Load connection | Single or ramshorn forged hook | Match the rigging method and load distribution |
| Rope wheel group | Variable wheel quantity and groove arrangement | Suit the required reeving ratio and rope travel |
| Rotating support | Bearing, crosshead and hook-nut options | Support controlled hook orientation and inspection access |
| Block enclosure | Open, guarded or enclosed side-plate design | Protect moving parts and retain the rope in its path |
| Installation envelope | Standard-height or compact arrangement | Fit the available vertical and lateral space |
Port-Service Protection
Salt-laden air, humidity, wind-blown particles and frequent operating cycles can accelerate deterioration of ordinary lifting components. For this reason, the protection system should be selected together with the mechanical design rather than added after production.
| Coating System | Primer and topcoat selected for the specified corrosion environment |
| Groove Treatment | Machined profile with optional hardness requirements |
| Bearing Protection | Sealing and lubrication provisions selected for the service conditions |
| Fastener Protection | Protected, coated or specified fasteners according to the project |
| Identification | Nameplate, component marking and traceability identification when required |
Replacement Engineering Process
| Stage | Customer Input | Technical Review |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Crane model and lifting duty | Confirm operating conditions and design basis |
| 02 | Drawing, sample or measurements | Reconstruct interfaces and overall envelope |
| 03 | Rope and reeving information | Determine wheel geometry and rope path |
| 04 | Required documents and tests | Prepare the inspection and documentation scope |
| 05 | Drawing approval | Release the approved configuration for manufacturing |
Inspection File Options
The inspection package is agreed at the quotation stage. This prevents both missing documentation and unnecessary testing that does not apply to the project.
| Material Records | Certificates and identification records according to the order scope |
| Dimensional Report | Interface, groove, shaft, hook and overall envelope measurements |
| NDT Records | UT, MT or other examinations included in the approved plan |
| Functional Checks | Wheel rotation, bearing fit, retention and assembly verification |
| Third-Party Review | Can be coordinated when specified in the contract |
Data Needed for Engineering Review
- Maximum suspended load and operating classification
- Rope diameter, construction and reeving diagram
- Required hook style and rigging connection
- Existing block dimensions and available headroom
- Shaft, bearing and mounting-interface details
- Ambient conditions and requested paint system
- Inspection documents, witnessing and marking requirements
All dimensions, materials and performance requirements are subject to engineering confirmation. Installation and commissioning must be performed by qualified personnel using the approved crane documentation.
