Labor-saving effect:

To change the direction of the force:
- The block can also change the direction of the force. In lifting operations, it is sometimes necessary to lift heavy objects to heights or move them from one place to another, and direct lifting or movement may be limited by space or equipment. At this point, a block can be used to change the direction of the force so that the weight can move along a predetermined path.
- For example, in a tower crane or bridge crane, the block is usually mounted at the top of the boom, and the weight is lifted, lowered, and moved horizontally by changing the winding of the rope.
Improve lifting efficiency:
- The application of the pulley block can also improve the lifting efficiency. Through reasonable pulley block design and rope winding, the lifting capacity of the crane can be brought into full play, and the load and energy consumption of the crane can be reduced.
