I. Overview of the pulley block hook

The hook is the part directly connected to the object being lifted, bearing the weight of the object and suspending it under the block.

Ⅱ. The composition of the pulley block

• Fixed pulley: fixed pulley is a pulley fixed on the crane or bracket, the main role is to change the direction of the force, so that the pull or thrust can be transmitted along different directions. In a block hook, the fixed pulley is usually located above and connected to the movable pulley by wire rope or chain.
• Movable pulley: movable pulley is a pulley that moves with the object, and its main function is to save effort. In a pulley block hook, the moving pulley is usually located below, connected to the object being lifted, and works with the fixed pulley through a wire rope or chain.

Ⅲ. The composition and characteristics of the hook

The hook is usually forged from high-strength alloy steel with enough strength and toughness to withstand the weight of the object being lifted. The shape and size of the hook are designed according to the characteristics and needs of the object being lifted to ensure the reliability and safety of the connection. In addition, the hook is usually equipped with a safety lock or safety device to prevent accidental shedding or breaking during lifting.
