Pulley plays a role of saving labor,supporting wire rope and being a guide for wire rope.
Materials for wire rope sheave pulley:
For light and medium-size bridge crane, pulley can be made with gray cast iron HT15-33 and nodular QT-10
For heavy bridge crane. pulley is produced with cast steel ZG25 or ZG35
Major diameter pulley(D>800mm)can be weld with carbon steel Q235A
Safety Inspection of wire rope sheave pulley:
Cuttings and dust in the oil-way and oi hole on the shaft must be cleaned. Inspect whether oilhole and oil sink on the spacer bush between the bearings is aligned or not.
When there are flaws on the pulley should be discarded as useless and stopped to use Radial direction of pulley rope groove abrades no more than 30% of rope diameter;Pulley groove wall abrades no more than 30% of original wall thickness.
Defect area in the axle hole is less than 0.25cm square, depth no more than 4mm.
