Structural components of manual chain hoists

●Chain:
The load chain is made of high - strength steel to withstand the heavy loads. It is typically long enough to reach the desired lifting height. The hand chain, on the other hand, is used by the operator to control the movement of the hoist. It is connected to the gear mechanism inside the hoist.
●Gears:
A set of gears is at the core of the hoist's operation. These gears are designed to provide the necessary mechanical advantage. They transfer the force applied by the operator on the hand chain to the load chain, enabling the lifting or lowering of the heavy load.
●Hook:
There are usually two hooks. The upper hook is used to suspend the hoist from a fixed structure such as a beam or a gantry. The lower hook is attached to the load chain and is used to secure the load to be lifted. The hooks are made of strong and durable materials and are designed with a safety latch to prevent the load from accidentally slipping off.
