●Overload Limiter
- Principle: It is a device that monitors the load being lifted. When the load exceeds the pre - set maximum capacity of the hoist, the overload limiter activates.
- Function: It immediately stops the hoist from further lifting the load. This prevents damage to the hoist's motor, chain, and other components due to excessive stress. It also reduces the risk of accidents caused by overloading, such as chain breakage or structural failure of the hoist.
●Limit Switch
- Upper Limit Switch: This switch is installed at the upper end of the hoist's lifting path. When the load reaches the maximum height that the hoist is designed to lift, the upper limit switch is triggered. It then cuts off the power supply to the lifting mechanism, preventing the chain from over - winding and potentially causing damage to the hoist or the load.
- Lower Limit Switch: Located at the lower end of the lifting path, the lower limit switch stops the hoist when the load reaches the lowest position. This protects the chain from being over - extended and ensures that the hoist operates within its safe working range.
