Lifting equipment maintenance

Jan 18, 2024|

No matter what industry it is, when using lifting equipment, a safety inspection and maintenance of the lifting equipment should be carried out to detect abnormal situations in time and deal with them in a timely manner to ensure the safe operation of the lifting machinery and avoid any accidents Accidents happen. Eliminating some hidden dangers in the bud is not only responsible for the progress of the project, but also responsible for the lives and property of the construction workers.
1. Determine the reasons why lifting equipment needs to be inspected from the following three aspects:
1. Check whether the various protective covers, guardrails, guard plates, ladders, etc. on the lifting equipment are complete and reliable. The exposed open transmissions on the crane may cause winding and injury; couplings, sprockets, chains, and transmission belts. Whether there are protective covers for rotating parts, whether there are protective fences on the pedestrian walkways, ladders and parts that may expose people on the crane, and whether they meet the requirements.
2. The electrical equipment of the open-air crane should be equipped with a rain cover.
3. The setting of the brake, whether the brake type meets the design requirements, whether the brake rods and springs have defects such as fatigue deformation, cracks, etc.; whether the pins, spindles, brake wheels, and brake friction pads are worn beyond the standard, and whether the hydraulic brakes are in good condition Oil leakage; whether the brake clearance adjustment and braking capacity meet the requirements.
2. Safety inspection methods for eight common components of cranes:
1. Hook. Check whether the hook's markings and anti-detachment device meet the requirements; whether the hook has cracks, spalling and other defects; whether the cross-section wear, increase in opening, and torsional deformation of the hook exceed the standards; whether there is fatigue on the neck and surface of the hook Deformation, cracks and related wear of pins and sleeves.
2. Wire rope. Commonly used varieties include phosphate-coated steel wire ropes, galvanized steel wire ropes and smooth steel wire ropes. It is necessary to check whether the specifications and models of the steel wire ropes and the pulley drums match the design requirements. Whether the pressure plate, rope clamp, wedge and other wire rope fixing devices at the fixed end of the wire rope meet the requirements. Whether the wear, broken wires, kinks, flattening, bending, broken strands, corrosion, etc. of the wire rope exceed the standard.
3. Braking device.
4. Reel. Whether there are fatigue cracks or damage on the drum body and drum rim; whether the wear of the rope groove and drum wall exceeds the standard; whether the height of the drum rim matches the number of winding layers of the wire rope; whether the working conditions of the rope guide and rope arranging device are consistent Require;
5. Pulley. Whether the pulley is equipped with an anti-falling rope groove device; whether there are cracks, broken edges, excessive wear, etc. in the pulley rope groove and rim; whether the pulley rotates flexibly.
6. Reducer. Whether there are severe metal friction sounds, vibrations, shell radiation and other abnormal sounds when the reducer is running; whether the shaft end is well sealed, whether the fixing bolts are loose or defective, etc.; reducer lubricating oil selection, oil level, vertical reducer lubrication Whether the oil pump operation, open gear transmission lubrication, etc. meet the requirements.
7. Wheels. Check whether there are fatigue cracks in the wheel tread and wheel axle, and whether the wheel tread and wheel axle wear exceeds the standard. Whether rail chewing occurs during operation. What causes rail chewing.
