Pulley Block Labor Saving Calculation
Feb 01, 2023| Formula: s=nh. v rope=n*v object F pull=(1/n)*G total
s: the distance the free end of the rope moves. v-rope: the speed at which the free end of the rope moves (rises/falls)
h: The height to which the weight is lifted. vObject: the speed at which an object moves (rises/falls)
n: The number of load-bearing rope segments (the rope connected to the moving pulley). G total: object weight + pulley weight (G object + G slide).
Secondly, determine the number of pulleys as required. The principle is: generally: two strands of rope are equipped with one moving pulley.
