Function

  1. Lubrication: The primary function of the oil injection hole is to introduce lubricating oil into the pulley system. Lubrication reduces friction between the pulley and the belt or cable running over it, as well as between the pulley and its axle. This helps to minimize wear and tear, extend the service life of the pulley and associated components, and improve the overall efficiency of the power - transmission system.
  2. Cooling: In addition to reducing friction, the oil can also act as a coolant. During operation, the pulley may generate heat due to friction. The injected oil can absorb and dissipate this heat, preventing overheating that could potentially damage the pulley or cause the belt to slip.
